What do you mean by Commitment to Proceed?

What is the difference between the .ie domain and a .com?
A Highly Inflated Price and a Far Inferior Service! (Well that’s our experience with the companies we have tried to do business with))
The .ie domain name is the Irish Country Code domain name, whereas the Top Level .com, .net, .info and .biz domain names are the internationally recognized Top Level Domain Names.
Anyone can register any available .com, .net, .info, .biz domain name. However, the .ie domain names are solely intended for Irish businesses or companies doing businesses in Ireland or have an Irish connection and are subject to highly inflated prices and in the majority of cases where a lower price is offered you will find that unreasonable and very costly Hosting restrictions will apply.

At the end of the day it's a business decision - if you want to project your business as a business in Ireland essentially for Irish consumers and pay the higher premiums then the .ie is probably perfect for you.
